Since we approved purchasing the Yaesu digital capable DR-1 repeater last
night, who will be the first one in the Quincy area to own a Yaesu digital
capable radio?

I see Gigaparts has $190 discount on the FTM-400DR mobile radio making it
$489.00. I also see the FT-2DR is soon to be replacing the FT-1DR handheld,
currently discounted at Gigaparts to $289.00

Subject: [WIARC] Club station this weekend

The club station will be active this weekend for the ARRL DX phone contest.
Right now, I know someone will be there from before 6:00 PM through 10 or
11:00 PM Friday evening and again Saturday afternoon/evening and possibly
sometime Sunday. If you want to come and operate as a part of the club
mutli-op effort, come on by. Before you head over, you may want to contact
someone at the club station by calling on 147.030 and let them know you are
on the way so they can let you in, if necessary.

 If you do want to operate but do not have afterhours access,  Ron Rose,
AA9GL, has indicated he is willing to come and let you in to operate.

Just a quick reminder to everyone that next weekend is the Severe Weather Conference at the Kroc Center.  Things will get started at 8am and end at 4pm.  We have just over 100 participants from the Tri-State area and are expecting it to be a good day.  If you have already registered look forward to seeing you there.
