Here's some info on the HF Antenna Shootout we're having this month. The
winner will receive a nice certificate showing your radio prowess.
You have to use this software in this weblink. It's a snapshot of WSJT-X
1.5 which, if you're a user of WSJT-X, has 3X faster decoding speed than
before and more sensitive decoding too.
If you don't have computer control and audio from your rig this may be your
opportunity to get hooked up.
It also has changes that are to be included in a future version of JTAlert
which will allow better integration of WSJT-X and JTAlert so you may answer
QSOs from JTAlert directly instead of searching through the decodes in
WSJT-X to find the one you want.

JTAlert is the best companion program for WSJT-X and the JT65HF variants. I
can't imagine doing JT65/JT9 modes without it.

JTAlert integrates with several logging programs - Chris and I use Log4OM
which completely automates eQSL uploads and makes LOTW uploads just a couple
of clicks.
The current leader of the shootout is Chris Schulz, NR9Q, nr9q at hotmail.com -
you'll need to coordinate bands/times with him. No reason we can't do
multiple people at the same time.
What Chris & I did for this was run 80M overnight. So, basically, just leave
your rig on 80M overnight and we can compare your log at any time to anybody
else.
If you can't do 80M you'll need to coordinate with the leader for a
compatible band.
You'll find a file in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\WSJT-X call ALL.TXT which
contains all the decodes. That file needs to be emailed to me and will be
run through some software I created that compares the decodes from two
competitors. The winner of each will proceed to the next round.
You may do multiple submissions if you wish.
So, basically, just leave your rig on 80M overnight and we can compare your
log at any time.
I will email updates to the list as events unfold.
if you have any questions or need help setting things up give me a call at
641-2814 or email me. If you install TeamViewer I can help you configure
your system or provide any other computer help you may need.
I'll update this table as logs get processed. The dbDiff shows the average
dB difference between the two logs..the higher average is, of course, the
winner.
