Forwarding this to the club. If you can help please contact Nicole. The
race this year goes up Maine St and Bonansinga Dr so more volunteers are
needed to provide comm support. We've already tested a repeater we put up
at Riverside Park to provide coverage for both directions.

Subject: Bridge the Gap Volunteers
Good Afternoon! We are still in search of 10 communication volunteers for
Bridge the Gap to Health Race. This is a great event that will benefit the
community and is an effective training tool for emergency communication
skills. I will include details below.
May 16th 6:30 p.m. Communication Team Training and Equipment Setup
All race volunteers are encouraged to attend as well as all Emergency
Management Communication Team volunteers, even if you do not plan to help
with the race. We will be setting up the radios and antennas for the race.
This is a valuable opportunity to learn how the equipment works, where it is
stored, and what resources are available in case of an emergency deployment.
May 17th Bridge the Gap to Health Race Check in time is 07:00. Each
volunteer will receive a tshirt. Please provide me with your tshirt size if
you have not already done so. The race typically ends before 1:00 and we
clean up and take down equipment after that. Lunch will be provided for
everyone at the end of the race when the equipment is returned to the
storage shed.
If you are able to help please let me know as soon as possible so I can
coordinate volunteers and get the correct number of Tshirts. Once I have a
complete list of volunteers I will send out additional information on
locations and instructions. Please share this information with any amateur
radio operators you feel would be interested in helping.

Nicole Sharp
