From wiarc at mailman.qth.net Tue Jul 8 14:43:40 2014 From: wiarc at mailman.qth.net (Michael Black via WIARC) Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2014 13:43:40 -0500 Subject: [WIARC] LOTW & JT65 Utilties Message-ID: <034f01cf9adc$89a861b0$9cf92510$@yahoo.com> I wrote a couple of utilities that I'd like to share with the club now. Chris (NR9Q) has been my beta tester so many thanks to him. LOTW - https://www.dropbox.com/s/brkswztdwjajr1o/LOTWQSL.exe . One-click access to LOTW updates of verified QSLs. . Tags new additions to prefix, WAS, and DXCC entries so you know when to check the web . Minimal screen real estate. First time you run it you'll see an error about not finding the log file. That's OK. First time you click "Refresh" you'll get your whole LOTW log downloaded. If you have QSO from before the year 1900 you should change the date J >From the on it automatically remembers the last time you updated. JT65RB -- https://www.dropbox.com/s/brkswztdwjajr1o/LOTWQSL.exe . Watch tab -- Shows you band and breakdown by US/DX activity along with how many stations see your transmission (when you transmit of course) . RX Compare tab - Gives you average dB difference and a percentile grade on your receive capability on even/odd minutes. Also shows you the "best" receptions for your receptions and how many dB you are from the best. For starter comparisons I'm running about -7dB and 60%. That means I'm as good or better than 60% of the signal reports on average. . TX Compare - When you do transmit this will show you a dB report on who received you separated by US and DX. So you can get an idea if you're not being heard or blasting everybody's ears off. Suggestions, bugs, problems, please let me know.
