[WIARC] Field Day 2012

A reminder to all WIARC members and their families and friends.  Field Day
2012 is now upon us.  Saturday June 24 and Sunday June 25 are the magic
days.  All activities will take place at the Red Cross Chapter Building at
3000 North 23rd Street Quincy.  Setup will start at 4 pm Friday the 22nd,
and resume at 8 AM Saturday.  Help is needed in all phases of the event
including staffing the stations for the 24 hour period beginning at 1PM
Saturday.  

 

The traditional family carry-in picnic will be held at 6 PM Saturday with
the club furnishing grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, iced tea, lemonade and
table service.  Each family is requested to bring a covered dish to share
with the group.

 

On-air operations will commence at approximately 1 PM Saturday and continue
until 1 PM Sunday.  The plans are to have one SSB station, one CW station on
the air continuously, as well as a third station which will go multi-tasking
as a GOTO, VHF, Digital, and solar powered station.

 

Please plan to come out and enjoy the fun, conversation, dinner and get in
some operating time.
