I sent this email out a couple months ago and this is a reminder. They are
asking for help from the local Ham Community. A Few people have responded
that they could help but as I age I find I loose things more easily and I
have lost my list. If you are planning to help could you please respond to
me even if you have already, I need to know how much help I will have so I
can start thinking up an alternative if we don't have enough. Plus I need to
know your T-shirt size. If you don't have a 2 meter radio let me know that
as well as I have a couple extras. I will need about 9 people including
myself and up to 14 would have jobs!

Spring is in the air and that means it is time for the Quincy Notre Dame
Cross Country Team to have their annual run in South and Indian Mounds Park.
In years past the local Ham Community has provided communications for this
event that has proved to be valuable beyond measure. This year they have
again requested out help. The event is June 26th, Field Day at 8:00am. We
would have to be on station by 7:45 am, and as those that have helped in the
past we are generally done by 9:15 or so. My Plan is to use 2 meters again,
147.51 simplex. If you don't have a radio but would like to help let me know
as we can round one up I am sure. It is also a great chance for a new ham to
get some experience. We will be stationed at key locations to keep track of
first and last place runners/walkers as well as to be able to call for help
if someone develops a problem.
