[WIARC] Saturday morning coffee gathering...

To all WIARC members...

At the April meeting, it was suggested that we start a Saturday morning
gathering to share coffee, to chat and to operate the club station.  It was
agreed that the coffee shop at the Illinois Veterans Home would be the ideal
place to gather for camaraderie and the time would be around 8:30 AM,
continuing for whatever time people wanted with time at the club station
included.

Two Saturdays have come and gone with minimal participation.  I guess the
word has not been spread very well and that those who already know of the
plan might enjoy a reminder.  

I would like to use this forum to get the word out about the gathering and
to remind those who do not have home HF stations, that this would be an
ideal time to become familiar with the club station operation for future
reference.  It is there for the use of all WIARC memebers.

So, to repeat, Saturdays, 8:30 AM to ??, at the coffee shop at ILVH in
Quincy, with spill over to the club station in the lower level of Lippencott
Hall.  The coffee shop is directly behind the administration building and
Lippencott directly to the rear of the coffee shop.  One stop shopping.

As a side note, the profits from the coffee shop go to support activities at
the home for it residents.  So any money spent there for coffee and even
breakfast will serve to help the Vets.
