I was able to connect to the W9AWE node via the ILQDX digi last night.  But
the path was very slow, and after the original connect, I could not get
subsequent commands such as SH/USERS or SH/DX through.

However, part of the problem could me on my end.  I used my old Kenwood
TR-7800 and PK232MBX, and didn't put a meter on either the SWR or the power,
so am not sure how well I was getting out.  I'll do some work here, and
we'll keep in touch.

Although many of us use the Internet packetclusters, the W9AWE packetcluster
will give all of us the opportunity to chat with other local hams and
exchange information about activity on the bands, in addition to having DX
spots from the Internet gateway.  I sure hope everyone in this area will
take advantage of this opportunity.  Thanks again to Mike for his good work
on this.
