The NWS Pittsburgh has informed us that there is an. “impressive environment currently for strong tornadoes in Wetzel/Marion/Mon Counties in WV.”

This does not mean that tornadoes have developed, however there are strong cells northwest of us—some identified as tornadic--tracking in our general direction.

Note: Due to the above, the North Central West Virginia Skywarn Net has been activated in Standby Mode on the W8MWA repeater. Check-ins are not required, but we request that you monitor the W8MWA repeater and, importantly, let us know that you are monitoring and available if needed.
