As shown in the graphic below, the Extreme Heat Warning line is slightly east of I-79 with Morgantown and Fairmont both within the Extreme Heat Warning area.
The Extreme Heat Warning runs until 2200 (10 PM) on Friday. (Thunderstorms, if they occur could reduce temperatures on Friday.)
The difference between a Heat Advisory and an Extreme Heat Warning is important.
