The NWS has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado hit the greater Fairmont area yesterday. I am sending this out to multiple lists as Skywarn Net participation yesterday came from multiple groups.

Our storm survey team has confirmed an EF-0 tornado with maximum wind speeds of 80 mph occurred just east of Fairmont, WV in relation to severe thunderstorms yesterday.

A storm survey team for the National Weather Service office
in Pittsburgh PA has confirmed an EF-0 tornado with maximum wind
gusts of 80 mph occurred just east of Fairmont, WV in relation
to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area on
June 22 2026.
A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement by this evening.
