I just finished a briefing from the NWS Pittsburgh regarding our upcoming weekend Winter Storm. Due to the importance of this, I am sharing this message with all the club related lists. I will also attach a link to a YouTube video produced by the NWS Pittsburgh.

If the most likely scenarios do occur, we will activate the North Central West Virginia Skywarn Net likely on Sunday and/or Monday. We will be asking for your snowfall measurements. So get those rulers ready!

For those who want "just the facts" (apologies to Sergeant Friday of "Dragnet,") here they are:

There are a number of possible scenarios depending on the storm track and the water in the atmosphere. The two most likely are:

Scenario  1 (Fluffy, dry all snow)
By Monday
12"-18" Morgantown and Fairmont
2 feet or more in Preston and Tucker Counties

Scenario  2 ( Wet dense snow )
By Monday
6-10" snow in all locations
0.1" freezing rain, ice
