Folks,

Jason, KD8FDD, has developed a good working model for the Marion MARA Skywarn Net. What he has been doing is to check with stations at the top of every hour. He then takes their snowfall reports and welcomes new check-ins.

For a long-term continuous weather event such as today's Winter Storm, this makes tremendous sense. So, stealing a page from Jason's book, that's what we will do as well. 

I will check in with you on the W8MWA two-meter repeater at 19:00 EST (7 PM) 20:00 (8 PM) 21:00 and 22:00 (10 PM.) That allows us all to take a break from the radio room as well.

Now, if you call me at any time during the hour, I will hear you and respond. After 22:00, unless there is reason to do otherwise, we suspend operations and will plan to resume at 08:00 EST to take a series of final snowfall reports. (The snow should be over well before that time.)
