Normally, I would not sendi the following weather information to all lists. However, with the participation of the three local clubs in the Morgantown Christmas Parade tomorrow night, I felt that there might be general interest in the weather during the parade.

The NWS Pittsburgh has put together several images that describe the upcoming weather for this week and for the Morgantown Parade.  Again, due to the general interest in the parade weather I will attach them to this message.

Summing up the current thinking, there will be two rounds of precipitation. One occurs late tonight with snowfall primarily in the ridges in Preston and Tucker Counties. The second round starts Wednesday evening through Thursday morning. Obviously, the second round is what we want to look at for the Christmas Parade.

Temperatures in Morgantown at 17:00 EST when the parade starts on Wednesday night are expected to be in the low 40s with mostly cloudy skies, so we may see a rain/snow mix during the parade. This will transition to all snow but not until 21:00 - 22:00 EST so well after the parade ends. Even so, the total snow accumulation in Morgantown is expected to be small--a trace to one inch ending entirely by 04:00 EST.

As we get closer to the parade, I expect the NWS Pittsburgh will provide us with updates. I will pass them along as appropriate.
