...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE...Portions of North Central West Virginia, including the following areas, Marion, Monongalia, Ridges of Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern Preston and Wetzel.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Thunderstorms near a slow-moving front may contain rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. East-to-west training thunderstorms may produce up to a total of 3 inches of rain on a localized basis. This could create flash flooding of streams, creeks and on roads.
