A warning from the NWS Pittsburgh came in after I went to bed last night. They were warning about flooding occurring on the Cheat River in Rowlesburg.
It is possible that the Cheat River has subsided by now. However, I am sending this report out in case it hasn’t.
SkYWARN Net stations in Preston County, I am monitoring the W8MWA two-meter repeater at this time. If you have any reports related to flooding please contact me.
From the NWS Pittsburgh:
The Cheat at Rowlesburg just crept over flood stage of 16 feet so we've put out a flood warning. Based on upstream gauges, it shouldn't rise much more and we think it will crest right around 16.1 feet overnight tonight before falling back below flood stage by the morning.
