...Icy Roads Possible Tonight...

Rain will mix with and briefly change to snow as a cold front moves across the region this evening. Temperatures will fall into the 20s after the passage of the front. Any remaining water on roads could freeze as the temperatures fall, creating icy roads and hazardous travel conditions. Use caution if traveling tonight.

======================

There is uncertainty in the snowfall forecast Sunday into Monday due to potential differences in storm track.

Peak accumulation will be between 9 AM and 9 PM Sunday. Totals of 6 inches or higher are most likely in the West Virginia higher terrain, with 3 inches or more possible in other locations in North Central West Virginia. Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories have been issued accordingly. An Extreme Cold Watch remains in effect for the dangerous cold next week as well.
