We seem to be going back and forth with the NWS regarding the severe thunderstorm threat today for North Central West Virginia. Yesterday evening and overnight we went from being in the Level 1 Risk zone to not being in it and then to being in it again.

This morning we seem to be doing the same thing. There must be considerable uncertainty about how these systems will merge and where.

Here is the latest from the NWS Pittsburgh:

The morning update from Storm Prediction Center has trimmed the Level 1 Risk area back to eastern Ohio.

North Central West Virginia is no linger in the Level 1 Risk area although strong to severe storms may be possible anytime from 1 PM to 7 PM. Mid to late afternoon will be the most likely period where isolated damaging wind gusts or a brief tornado will be possible.

We'll have more updates as the day goes on!
