The NWS Pittsburgh has issued several Urgent Winter Weather Warnings this morning. This is to cover the potential of snow squalls, wind gusts, wind chills, and rapidly dropping temperatures.

The North Central West Virginia Skywarn Net will activate in Standby Mode this morning at 07:00 EST.

Please monitor the repeater in the morning if at all possible.

Conditions behind the cold front will allow for Lake Effect snow showers across the area through the day today. Accumulations are expected to be between 1 and 2 inches. Winds could gust up to 40 mph at times through the day today and tonight.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
