Of course, we will begin Tuesday's festivities with Taco Tuesday at noon at Los Mariachis Restaurant in University Town Centre.

In the evening we have our monthly meeting.  The big deal is that it is time to selcet those individuals whom we will condemn to club officer positions.

Incidentally, prior to the meeting, which will take place at the WVU football stadium,  Bill, WR8S, will host a tour or tours of the facility beginning at 5:00 PM.  These tours only occur at random years, and the future of these is always uncertain.  Take this while you can. Go to the West Gate of the stadium.

Also, in addition to the exciting election of officers, there will be a presentation of a multi-club project involving the building of individual APRS (Automatic Position Reporting System) modules that will attach to most handheld radios to turn them into APRS reporting nodes.  This will involve purchasing components and parts, assembling the module, and programming a tiny computer.  The working assumption is that construction will take place as a mass goat-rope session on the WVU campus, in which everyone will end up with a working unit. This activity is open to all members of any club in the area, and any local unaffiliated hams who hear about it.

If all goes well, someone will be available on the W8MWA repeater, 146.430, shift down, PL 103.5 Hz. for talk-in once you are near the stadium.  You probably will not need this.
