Fred McMullen, Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the National Weather Service Pittsburgh, will be the special speaker at the October 15 meeting of the Monongalia Wireless Association (MWA.) 

This meeting is free and open to the public. Whether you are a member of the MWA or not, whether you are a licensed ham radio operator or not--you are invited and welcome to attend!

Fred will will discuss:
  • The relationship between the National Weather Service and amateur radio
  • SKYWARN--what it is and what it does
  • Winter Weather--what to look for, what to expect this year and how to measure and report snowfall and river ice
And of course, he will take your questions.

The Red Cross is located on the third floor. The entrance is at the back of the first building (the building closest to the street.). You enter on the second floor. Elevator is to your immediate right when you enter the building. Take it up one level to the third floor and turn right. The meeting is in a large room on the left just a few feet down the hallway.
