From the NWS Charleston WV and NWS Pittsburgh:

Remnants of Helene arrive today, spreading strong gusty winds.

A frontal boundary spawning off from the north of Hurricane Helene is currently approaching the area. As a result, we are expecting showers and gusty winds to impact the area as Helene tracks north and west into the CONUS.

Attached is a graphic of the maximum wind gusts expected across the area today and into the evening. The highest wind gusts will be along the ridges of Preston and Tucker Counties where a Wind Advisory is in effect from 1200 through 2200.

Maximum wins gusts in Davis, WV will approach 50 MPH. Morgantown will be see somewhat lower winds gusts although the maximum wind gusts could go to over 30 MPH.
