There is still a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for parts of Monongalia, Marion and Wetzel Counties. However, we have received the following update from the NWS Pittsburgh:

“The severe threat for Morgantown should start going down, as storms are losing strength in the region. We expect more of a heavy rain threat with the slow moving storms. Cells that pop up in Preston County, however, may be strong to severe.”

Note: At this time, there is no immediate need to active the NC WV SKYWARN Net. However, stations are encouraged to monitor the W8MWA two-meter repeater.
