On Monday, at 8:30 PM, we will host the North Central West Virginia 2 metre SSB net on 144.210. This is a simplex net for us to check long-range 2-meter communication. It meets on the second Monday of each month at the aforementioned times. If you have a multimode on 2, or a regular 2 meter SSB rig, give it a try.
Following that net, there is our regular weekly ARES Traffic and Training net (i.e., gossip net) on our 145.43 repeater. PL 103.5, standard offset -600 kHz. Membership in ARES is not required. We try to reach out as far as our repeater can go. If you are far away, give it a shot anyway.
On Tuesday, those who can and wish to do so, meet at Los Mariachis for Taco Tuesday, but only one person regularly gets tacos. It's pretty cheap, and more varied than burgers 'n fries, or fries 'n burgers. Lots of ham talk and suggestions, some home and car repair, very little discussion of women's fashions, beauty parlors, or boy friends. I am not sure why this is the case, but I have attended Taco Tuesdays around Morgantown for 20 years, and I still have not figured it out.
