There will be a SKYWARN Spotter training class on Thursday night June 20th at 1900 EDT in Pittsburgh, PA at the Andrew Carnegie Library.

It’s a bit of a drive from here, but I highly recommended this class to all local ham operators and it is free. You will learn how to recognize severe weather and report it  (See the attached graphic.)

Since this is an in-person class, you will have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the Meteorologists from the Pittsburgh NWS office.

You can register for the class here: https://www.weather.gov/pbz/skywarn-schedule

With all this crazy weather recently, there couldn’t be a better time to take this class!
