The weather outlook has changed overnight. Monongalia, Marion and Preston Counties have been moved to a LEVEL 2 threat of severe weather this afternoon and evening. (See the attached graphic.)
Given what the Pittsburgh NWS says below, it is likely that the SKYWARN Net will be activated later today. Please monitor the W8MWA repeater on 145.430 MHz. We will be sharing swather updates and taking your reports of conditions where you live.
***Remember the NWS needs your help! Their RADAR can not see our area and they need us to help them understand the weather that we are experiencing locally. That’s what SKYWARN is intended to do.

NWS Pittsburgh has updated the Weather Story
Severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening..
The threat (levels was expanded to the west. A cold front should be moving through that area during the peak heating of the day, which will be the most favorable time for severe storms. Damaging wind is expected to be the main hazard, though large hail and isolated tornadoes are also possible
