According to this morning’s report, the Pittsburgh NWS is not optimistic about the weather conditions during tomorrow afternoon’s solar eclipse. Below is the report that they issued this morning.

========================================

Regarding the eclipse itself, we will see at least a scattered - possibly broken - coverage in clouds during the eclipse on Monday as a weak warm front pushes through the Ohio Valley. Additionally, high clouds forming aloft could begin making their way over our western and southern counties during the time of the eclipse.

I certainly wish I had better news. We could still see adjustments in timing and overall coverage between now and then, but as of early this morning things are not trending in the best direction for good viewing conditions across our area.
