Bill Modzelewski and Jeff Craven are the Meteorologists who were on duty at the Pittsburgh National Weather Service during yesterday's W8MWA SKYWARN Net. Bill and Jeff have both expressed appreciation and thanks on behalf of the National Weather Service to the hams who participated in yesterday's Monongalia County ARES SKYWARN net.
Bill sent a message saying, "Jeffrey, please extend our thanks to the local ham radio operator's who were on the air with the SKYWARN Net. We appreciate their involvement very much."
Jeff's message said, "Jeffrey, please thank everyone on the SKYWARN Net for their help."
Although the Tornado Watch for Mon and Marion Counties never became a Tornado Warning, we were on the air and available. Your help and participation last night with SKYWARN was deeply appreciated, Well done!
