Things do change. This morning the National Weather Service had moved the risk of severe weather on Tuesday to just south of Fairmont. At 14:00 today, they moved the severe weather treat area back north again. (See the attached graphic.) We will see what happens over the next few hours.
The main threat is for high winds, large hail and a possible tornadoes on Tuesday afternoon/evening.
*** Please monitor the W8MWA two-meter repeater especially tomorrow afternoon and evening. ***
** Remember that the Pittsburgh NWS radar can not see Morgantown or Fairmont. We are too far and past their radar limit. Plus the Morgantown NWS transmitter (KWN-35) is currently off the air. That means that should strong storms hit our area our weather reports will be very important and needed.
