The Pittsburgh NWS has begun discussing the possibility of snowfall on Monday, December 18. If the local snowfall actually occurs and accumulates to three inches or greater, per our understanding with the NWS, we will activate the SKYWARN Net on the W8MWA two meter repeater.
For those who are interested, the details as they are known at this time follow below.

==========================================
The coastal low continues to deepen this morning. The low will continue its track along the coast through tomorrow. The cold air arrives Monday with rain changing to snow showers with probabilities increasing of at least 6 inches of snow across the higher terrain.
Right now, however, I'm not sure we'll be issuing Winter Weather Advisory for the Morgantown area. Typically those go up when we have confidence in 3-5 inch accumulations. In this case though, the snow showers/squalls will likely be more discontinuous in nature, and the areas with greatest impacts will be tough to pinpoint more than a few hours in advance. I think the most likely way we will handle things is with Special Weather Statements when things get cranking, and potentially Snow Squall Warnings for the heaviest/most impactful snow bands.
We'll assess newer data today and possibly changes those headlines into a warning and/or advisory this afternoon. Otherwise, enjoy the wet Sunday!
