Well it finally happened. We met with the people contracted to test and diagnose the antenna system on the 145.43 repeater. They tested the hardline, antenna jumper cables, and antennas individually and as a system.

Luckily we found that the feedline is good to all antennas. There is a possible problem with one connector inside the building but we'll need to check it further ourselves if problems persist. It was on a feedline we weren't using. Also the antennas seem to be fine. They both tested good. The problem with the higher antenna, which we couldn't use, appeared to be the connector cable from the hardline to the antenna. That was replaced. We're now on the higher antenna at full power from the repeater. We'll use it in this configuration for a while and then for testing return it to the lower antenna, which we were using. The problem with it also appeared to be the connecting jumper. That was replaced too.

If they both work, we'll probably return to the higher antenna or possibly split and use both. One for receiving and the other for transmitting. That's to be determined.

So for now, please try it out and see if we fixed / improved it. I'll try to monitor it more than I have been.

Here's hoping that we made significant progress fixing the issues.
