IT IS OFFICIAL: Field Day 2022 will be at Camp Mountaineer. We will have the first pavilion next to the parking lot just before the Ranger's house (parking lot is in front of it). It may-or-may-not have lighting (it didn't a couple of days ago; bring a light); will let you know as soon as I do.

The 3 clubs in Mon County WVUARC (W8CUL), MCARC (K8MCR) and MWA (W8MWA) are joining in this evolution as well as any other ham wishing to participate as part of the group....spread the word.

The University club will provide the generator for power as well as stations for 160 and 80 meters.

We need operators for 40, 20, 10 and VHF bands as well as GOTA station coaches.

It is good to bring your own radio if you will be there for an extended period or the long haul (remember it is 2pm Sat to 2pm Sun); or if you will be doing digital or CW(at least have your key). You may also do satellite (it's the only cross-band allowed). REMEMBER: power is limited to 100W PEP this year (but you can do QRP).

Let me know what times you may be able to cover and equipment you will bring. I will have a transceiver or 2 available.

If there is someone who would like to be Safety Officer, please step up. Basically involves a short check list and just insuring there are no hazards.

We also could use someone who would like to do an formal educational activity related to ham ratio....any ideas and/or takers?

If you bring a camper/trailer, please park near the pavilion or behind it.

Remember...alcohol and tobacco are prohibited.

Saturday morning will be the major set up with some done Friday afternoon. PLEASE come to the MWA CLUB MEETING on TUESDAY at 7PM at the RED CROSS.
