[W8MWA] Informational; Storm Damage Saturday and Thanks

Virginia Skywarn Net during yesterday’s Severe Thunderstorm Warning:

The Severe Thunderstorm produced some damage locally.

Seven people were injured at Kendrick Family Ballpark Saturday afternoon
when straight line winds blew over a large tent during a WVU baseball game.
Five people required hospitalization.

KE8TUZ measured a 47 MPH wind gust in Suncrest, Morgantown during the
storm.

On Monday the NWS will send teams to investigate two potential tornado
events in Western Pennsylvania.

We were spared from supercells that developed in Ohio and Wetzel County
yesterday evening. The NWS Pittsburgh was watching these storm.cells
closely. They were concerned because two looked like they had formed
tornado. Both were headed to Fairmont and Morgantown but fortunately
weakened before arriving in Mon and Marion Counties.
