The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Preston County in northeastern West Virginia...
  Tucker County in northeastern West Virginia...

* Until 715 PM EDT.

* At 546 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 14 miles southwest
  of Newburg, or 17 miles northwest of Parsons, moving southeast at
  35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
           roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Parsons, Davis, Thomas, Rowlesburg, Hendricks, Hambleton,
  Hannahsville, Lead Mine, Benbush, Davisville, Saint George,
  Blackwater Falls, Silver Lake, Elk, Elgon, Aurora, Canaan Hgts,
  Cathedral State Park, Pifer Moutain and Canaan Valley State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
