[W8MWA] Level 3 (Enhanced) Risk of Severe Thunderstorms on Tuesday

Because we have a significant potential for Severe Weather tomorrow, I am sending this message out to all three lists.

We have a Level 3 (Enhanced) Risk of Severe Thunderstorms on Tuesday: This covers all of North Central West Virginia and will likely cause activation of the North Central West Virginia Skywarn Net. 

The expected time is 12 PM to 8 PM Tuesday: So please be ready to check-in to the Skywarn Net if we activate—even if you have not checked in before. We will keep you updated on the weather and, of course, we will need your reports.

We have a Level 2 Risk of Flooding. 

Now let me offer a few brief details:

A Level 3 (Enhanced) Risk means that the NWS Pittsburgh has a high confidence in severe storms occurring. 

Several of the severe storms could be significant. 
“Significant” is defined as: 
	Wind Gusts at least 75 mph
	Hail at least 2 inches in size
	And/or Tornado at least EF-2

There is up to a 60% chance of 60 MPH or greater winds across all of North Central West Virginia. There is a low (less than 10%), but not zero, chance of a tornado. 

Training thunderstorms could create a Flash Flood risk on Tuesday evening.The potential for a Flash Flood Watch is increasing for North Central West Virginia.

I will update this information as appropriate. Please stay weather aware throughout the day tomorrow. Also please monitor the W8MWA repeater especially tomorrow afternoon and evening.
