*NOTE: Regarding the possibility of a Winter Storm this weekend, the NWS
Pittsburgh has asked me to participate in a Winter Weather briefing
tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon. I will provide updates from that briefing as
appropriate*.

*The Winter Weather Message below is not related to the potential of any
weather this weekend.*

Eastern Preston-Eastern Tucker-
Including the cities of Terra Alta, Rowlesburg, Davis, Canaan Valley,
Thomas, and Hazelton

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected, with some freezing rain also possible. Total snow
accumulations 2 to 4 inches. A glaze of ice possible. Winds gusting as high
as 45 mph across eastern Tucker county.

* WHERE...InWest Virginia, Eastern Preston and Eastern Tucker Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will
impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Gusty winds
could bring down tree branches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road condition can be
obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Please report snow or ice accumulations via the North Central West Virginia
Skywarn Net, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using
X at NWSPittsburgh.
