*The North Central WV ARES Skywarn Net has been activated on the W8MWA
two-meter repeater. We are looking for any and all flood reports.*

Flash Flood Warning
National Weather Service Pittsburgh PA

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Preston County in northeastern West Virginia...
  Southeastern Marion County in northern West Virginia...
  Eastern Monongalia County in northern West Virginia...

* Until 430 PM EDT.

* At 125 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain
across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and
low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Morgantown, Westover, Kingwood, Star City, Granville, Brookhaven,
Reedsville, Masontown, Albright, Brandonville, Bruceton Mills,
  Cheat Lake, Browns Chapel, Gladesville, Laurel Run, Valley Point,Booth,
Osage and Clifton Mills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths
occur in vehicles.
