The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northern Preston County in northeastern West Virginia...
Eastern Monongalia County in northern West Virginia...
* Until 800 PM EDT.
* At 503 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing eavy rain
across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The
expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 3 inches in 30 minutes could lead to an
additional 0.5 to 1.5 inches of rain
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and
low-lying areas.

Morgantown, Westover, Kingwood, Star City, Granville, Newburg,
Brookhaven, Cassville, Reedsville, Masontown, Albright, Browns
Chapel, Cheat Lake, Gladesville, Booth, and Osage
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths
occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
