At things have quieted down, the North Central West Virginia Skywarn Net
has transitioned to *Standby* Mode. We are monitoring the W8MWA two-meter
repeater and can take snow reports at any time. Simply call me, WB1AAL on
the repeater.
Meanwhile, we are not out of the woods quite yet. From the NWS Pittsburgh:
In the 2-5 pm period the front will strengthen and will mainly affect the
area from Pittsburgh on south. Looks like another 1-3" with that system
which should push snow totals over 6" for Marion and Mon Counties by this
evening.
Also see the attached graphic about trucks and SUVs in snow. Remember that
four-wheel drive may get you started in snow but it will do nothing to help
you stop!
Jeff, WB1AAL
