Because of the Importance of these weather topics I am sharing it will all
three lists

It’s a busy weather day, so here we go.

>From the NWS Pittsburgh:

A Frost Advisory has been issued for portions of western Pennsylvania and
all of North Central West Virginia. This includes Greene County in PA and
Marion, Monongalia, Marion, Preston and Tucker in WV. The Frost Advisory is
effective from 2am to 9am Thursday, October 10th, 2024.

If you have sensitive vegetation outdoors, take time this afternoon/evening
to protect them from potential frost.

In addition, from the Space Weather Prediction Center:

A Severe Geomagnetic Storm Watch (G4 or Greater) is in effect for Thursday
and Friday.

 KEY MESSAGES:

A strong X1.8 solar flare occurred at the center disk of the Sun on Tuesday
evening. The associated Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is Earth-directed, and
early model runs suggest Earth arrival as soon as Thursday morning.

This geomagnetic solar storm could complicate Hurricane Helene and Milton
recovery efforts by disrupting communications (including low-earth orbit
satellites), straining compromised power grids, and causing intermittent
GPS issues.

Only four severe to extreme geomagnetic storms have been observed during
this solar cycle, which began in December 2019. Weather permitting, aurora
may be visible as far south as Alabama and northern California.
