I am aware that some folks prefer not receiving frequent weather messages
outside of the NC WV SKYWARN list. However, these alerts are marked as
URGENT by the NWS Pittsburgh and they do concern everyone who lives or
works in these areas. Therefore I am passing this Urgent Weather Message
along to all.

Ridges of Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern Preston-Preston-Eastern
Preston-Western Tucker-
Eastern Tucker-
Including the cities of Coopers Rock, Hazelton, Bruceton Mills, Terra
Alta, Rowlesburg, and Kingwood
1152 AM EST Wed Nov 20 2024

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 1 AM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...In West Virginia, Eastern Preston, Eastern Tucker, Preston,
Ridges of Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern Preston, and Western
Tucker Counties.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 1 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs
could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please report downed trees, power lines or large branches to the North
Central West Virginia SKYWARN Net or by calling 412-262-1988
