[W8MWA] Informational: Pittsburgh NWS Reports May 11 Preston County Tornado.

The Pittsburgh NWS has issued an information statement this evening on a
tornado that made it into Preston County WV yesterday.

PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT
National Weather Service PITTSBURGH PA
Sun May 12 2024

A storm survey performed by the National Weather Service preliminarily
confirmed an EF1 tornado, with maximum winds of 90 MPH, occurred on May 11,
2024 in southeast Fayette County, PA and northeast Preston County, WV near
Fike Run.

This is the second tornado in three days for Preston County, WV. Additional
details and a final information statement will be sent tomorrow to
summarize the tornado and impacts.
