[W8MWA] Advisory: Level 1 Threat for Severe Thunderstorms and Strong Winds

There is a Level 1 Threat today (Sunday) for severe thunderstorms and
strong, gusty winds. The Level 1 area covers all of North Central West
Virginia. (See the attached graphic.)

Depending on any significant thunderstorm development throughout the day,
we may activate the North Central West Virginia Skywarn Net—at least in
standby mode. Please monitor the W8MWA two-meter repeater as much as is
possible throughout the day and evening.

>From the NWS Pittsburgh:

An unseasonably warm and most airmass will allow for showers and possibly a
few thunderstorms today. Some of the stronger showers and storms could
contain damaging wind gusts.

Even outside of thunderstorms, strong winds can be expected this afternoon
and through the evening. A Wind Advisory is in effect 10AM until 9PM today.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
