Spotters / Net Controllers,

 

We wanted to share a training opportunity that will be coming up shortly. On
January 26, at 10 AM, the NWS will be conducting a River Ice Spotter
webinar. While the webinar is hosted by the Cleveland OH NWS office,  the
Senior Service Hydrologist from the Pittsburgh office will be a panelist on
the webinar. This webinar will focus on river ice development, monitoring,
and reporting and will be applicable for the entire region, not just
northern Ohio and PA.  The webinar should last about 45 minutes and will be
recorded. You can find more information

We hope to provide additional training on this topic at a more convenient -
evening webinar in the near future.  Please share this with people who may
