[W8MWA] Christmas Party

I have secured a venue for our Christmas meeting/party, quite a few phone
calls later placed us back at the Golden Corral again.  Many places do not
offer segregated seating areas, the pines has two, but would cost the club
$100 for one area and a minimum of $17 per person for a buffet style food
trough.  This could be an option for next year, but personally I feel $100
for a few hours is an expense the club could do without this year, with the
new antenna project and such going on.

So please mark your calendars for December the 18th, we shall start at
7:00pm of which I believe is the normal time for our club meetings, of
course there will be no VE testing for this day, so if you could note that
also, just so we don't have any confusions.

Anyone is welcome to attend, club members or not, ex members, potential
members, family members and kids.

We will talk more on this at our next meeting on November 20th, we look
forward to seeing you there.

I also wonder if Jim, KB3SLN would like to attend, if someone could ask him
if they hear him on the radio or if you have his phone number and would not
mind calling him, we will set up transportation for him. I or someone could
pick him up and after take him back.  Jim is nice guy and would probably
welcome a night out with fellow radio operators.

Mig also mentioned a chinese style auction, if you have any equipment or
something people may be interested in, please let Mig know at the next
meeting.
