[W8MWA] Club updates

Good afternoon to all...

I thought I would drop out a small email to everyone that may of missed our
last club meeting due to the weather.

Some of our previous meetings we talked about the club changing to a
 501(c)(3) tax exemption status, as of our last meeting we were informed
that we are 501(c)(3) and have been since 1988.  This brings new
opportunities to the club as you can imagine, donations and such can be
taken in as can many other things as listed under
https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/charitable-organizations/exemption-requirements-section-501c3-organizations

Update on the APRS drive, Josh (KC8TAI), Steven (N8URE) and myself Dean
(KD8YNY) have a few locations from Bruceton Mills to several parts of
Morgantown undercover, as mentioned in the last meeting, we are still in
need of RX/iGate stations scattered around to pull in the dead spots.

If you are in need of help with an APRS setup, please contact us or see us
at one of our monthly meetings and we will talk about ways you can help the
area.

If you have not been to one of our meetings in a while, member or not, we
would love to see you there.  We have many things on the go and are already
preparing for field day and many other events in the area.  We are also
trying to provide new information to you, Spence is in the process of
collecting data from the meetings in the form of a questionnaire to find
out the needs of the operators in the area.

The club website which can be found at www.w8mwa.org is also being updated
as and when possible, I have uploaded some pictures of the last Field Day
we did last year.  If you have never been to one of our Field Days, again
we would love to have you there, member or not, licensed or not.  Bring the
family, bring the kids and even bring your pet if you so wish to do so.
