[W8MWA] ARRL Roanoke Division Director & Vice Director Elections

 From the ARRL Letter, August 22, 2018:

"The ARRL Board of Directors' Ethics and Elections Committee has 
declared as eligible the candidates for the 2018 Board election cycle. 
Incumbent Directors in four ARRL Divisions face challengers, as does one 
Vice Director.

"*In the Roanoke Division*, the incumbent Director and Vice Director 
face challengers. Director James Boehner, N2ZZ, is being opposed for 
re-election by George Hippisley, W2RU, while incumbent Vice Director 
Bill Morine, N2COP, will be facing off against John Humphrey, W4IM, to 
retain his seat."

MY THOUGHTS:

I do not know either Mr. Hippisley or Mr. Humphrey. However, I do know 
Dr. Jim Boehner and Bill Morine very well. Both are sincerely interested 
in the well being of the ARRL, the Roanoke Division and the West 
Virginia Section. Just this past weekend, at the Jackson's Mill Section 
Convention, both were in attendance and met with many, many of our 
members. They even encouraged, and actually caused (!) the visit of ARRL 
President Rick Roderick, K5RU, to the Convention.

Both Jim and Bill have served as Section Managers, Division Vice 
Director, and have chaired ARRL committees. Jim is not only our 
Director, but has also been chosen by his peers on the ARRL Board to 
serve on the League's Executive Committee. That is a HIGH HONOR!

I strongly encourage the reelection of both Jim and Bill to their
