[W8MWA] First Mon Wireless Association System Fusion Net SUCCESS!

Well, the first weekly Yaesu System Fusion Net (YSF) was held Tuesday
evening at 9:00 PM and it was an excellent exchange of information and
answers to excellent questions.  We had 11 check-in's with seven amateur
radio operators who already had System Fusion base stations and / or
handheld radios beginning the Net on the traditional analog side for the
majority of the time.  Four check-in's were interested in System Fusion to
put into service at a later date.  Questions ranged from very basic to a
little more in-depth but all were answered by WA3UVV, N8OZY and KD8YNY very
astutely and were very understandable.  In spite of nasty weather in the
area, the Net lasted over an hour and even took a few minutes to test out
on the digital side with great fun, challenges discovered and results to
rectify those challenges.  Digital audio in nothing shy of stunning and a
significant improvement for the ears. We discussed Best Practices, software
to load frequency channels into both mobile and base radios, and future
programs for the MWA Monthly Meetings to easily get folks up and running
with their own YSF radios.  We want to thank everyone who checked-in and
encourage everyone to check out the new NET next week!  You don't have to
have a YSF radio to check-in or to learn about the wave of the future when
it comes to C4FM digital modes.  GET RADIOACTIVE!  The Monongalia Wireless
