Hello amateur radio folks. There is sad news in the ham community. Our
friend and mentor, Mike Palmer passed away on Saturday April 29 2017. He
had a few medical issues recently, Mike had a fall in his house on Friday and
hit his head on a cabinet. He was unconscious for a long time until a
neighbor found him.



Damage from some prior falls he had and the latest one made it impossible
for the doctors solve all the medical problems. The doctors and the family
decided, after conslultation, that even extreme measures could not fix the
issues.



Michelle and Karen, his daughters and I stayed with Mike until he passed at
Ruby hospital. This is a terrible event for me and for all of you who knew
Mike over the years.

Mike and I made some trips to hamfests.



First, of course, would be Dayton.

Next might be the Mon Ham Gala, a first for the club



Then Timonium, Berryville, CastleShannon (Pittsburgh)

Charleston and many more all of which I don’t remember

I sure many of you met Mike at many other hamfests. Lets remember the good
times.
