[W8MWA] Morgantown Marathon update

Sorry for the delay.  It¹s been a crazy busy time for us all and time has
slipped up.

Unless you have a preference I¹m suggesting the same area assignment as last
year.  We have some new people this year and will assign them as they check
in if we haven¹t already talked with them. We may have to shuffle a little
as we¹re still waiting to hear from a few folks.  We can always shift on the
fly if we have to and can find a spot for you even if you haven¹t responded
before this and decide to come help either or both mornings.  Remember this
is NOT a club sponsored event but an ARES event.

We will be using the WVU 146.76 repeater again this year.  As backup I
suggest simplex of 146.55 but only in the event the primary goes down.

Net control will be run from the Coliseum near the start / finish area.  We
will have contact with race officials whole something come up.  I expect net
control will be up and on the air by 7:00 Saturday and (shudder) 6:00 on
Sunday.

We should be on station for Saturday by 7:30 as the race gets underway at
8:00.  It should be all over by 10:30 or so.  Sunday starts at 7:00 so we
should be on station by 6:30.  Those covering the outer areas of the full
marathon might be able to be there up to an hour later but there are some
FAST runners this year.  They  are expecting the marathon winner to come in
around 2hours 30 minutes run time.
